Northwestern finishes tied for 10th at The Goodwin Golf Tournament, facing pressure from their strong finish on day two but struggling in the closing rounds. Rowan Sullivan's impressive final round gives Northwestern hope for future performances.

Northwestern faced a tough day on Stanford Golf Course during The Goodwin, finishing tied for 10th after a disappointing final round. Despite a strong second half of the tournament that saw the Wildcats move into a tie for seventh place, they were unable to carry their momentum from earlier in the week and ultimately fell short. Rowan Sullivan continued his stellar play by closing with an impressive 67 on the par-70 course, putting him in 29th place overall.

Ethan Tseng led all Northwestern players with a solid 3-under 67. However, the Wildcats struggled from their final nine holes, ending up 6-over and finishing the tournament tied for 10th. The course proved challenging throughout, offering several par-5 holes that were relatively easy to play (par-5 16th at 4.

69), but also some tough holes like the 18th (over par). Northwestern’s best round of the day came from Daniel Svärd, who finished tied for 19th with a final-round score of 2-under. The Wildcats’ standout performances were highlighted by Tseng and Sullivan.

While Tseng’s strong finish pushed them back up the rankings, Sullivan showed resilience throughout the tournament by keeping his place in the top 30 despite finishing 74 on the last day. Next week, Northwestern will take part in the Augusta Haskins Award Invitational at the same course, giving them an opportunity to build on their recent performance and prepare for the postseason. Northwestern’s journey through The Goodwin serves as a reminder of why they are one of the teams to watch throughout this tournament.
