Florida State baseball first baseman Myles Bailey will miss the rest of the 2026 season with a leg injury, according to a statement released by the university. In a statement released by the school, they confirmed that Bailey underwent a successful surgery on Sunday morning and he is expected to make a full recovery. He injured his ankle in the Seminoles' (21-5, 7-1 ACC) 12-11 win over Duke .

"Our thoughts and prayers are with Myles for a full, speedy recovery. I have not coached a player with a better combination of work ethic, character, and skill. His application of work allowed Myles to develop into a spectacular player both offensively and at first base," FSU head coach Link Jarrett said.

"He has amazing parents, who molded him into a wonderful young man. Our medical team was fully engaged from the moment he was injured. He will recover from this injury and return to his dynamic form.
