Jessica Pegula shares her views on the state of women’s tennis in the United States

Coco Gauff leads the way at world number three, while there are currently three Americans inside the top 10. Last year saw two American women capture Grand Slam titles, with Gauff winning Roland Garros and Madison Keys taking her first major at the Australian Open.
Jessica Pegula has shared her thoughts on where American tennis stands at the moment, reflecting on its current strength. She returned to the top five after capturing another WTA 1000 title at the Dubai Tennis Championships.
Pegula credits the strong American presence on tour as motivation to keep pushing forward in her own career. Speaking to the Charleston Open, Pegula said: “Our depth in the U. S.
is pretty crazy right now. I feel like every time I go deep, there’s multiple Americans that are there. It’s been incredible.
” “I’m glad that I’ve been able to be a part of this era of all these girls doing really well in the States. I know it’s definitely motivated me to see them do well. It’s an honor to be a part of this amazing group.
