Itauma, now 14-0 with 12 knockouts, has built a reputation for finishing fights early with explosive power. His victory over Franklin reinforced his status as one of boxing’s most feared young prospects. It also pushed him closer to elite-level opposition.

When asked about who he wants to fight next, he told DAZN: “I mean, I wanted a [Flip] Hrgovic fight, but obviously he’s doing his thing. Man, I’d want [Oleksandr] Usyk as well.

I wouldn’t turn that fight down. ” His confidence reflects a rise fuelled by brutal knockout performances and growing belief he is ready for the division’s elite. The Franklin win was viewed as a key test, but Itauma passed it emphatically.
