Soon, that could mean contract extensions are in order for the likes of Bryan Woo and Logan Gilbert. In a new article by MLB Trade Rumors' AJ Eustace , he breaks down what an extension for Woo might look like. He compares Woo to Tanner Bibee (Cleveland) and Christian Javier (Houston) in trying to determine what Woo might be worth.
His conclusion: $55 million over a four-year contract extension for Woo. "More recently, Bibee got around $47. 2MM on a four-year extension in March 2025, which covered at least one free agent year," Eustace writes.
"That came following a 2023-24 stretch in which Bibee accumulated 6. 3 fWAR over 56 starts. Being a full-time starter, Woo is a closer match with Bibeeโs contract than Javierโs.
