2026 NFL mock draft: Broncos add a versatile coverage linebacker
The Broncos add a versatile coverage linebacker in this 2026 NFL mock draft.
Last week, Bobby Bishop of Dynasty Nerds released an updated, three-round 2026 NFL mock draft . After trading for wide receiver Jaylen Waddle , the Denver Broncos only hold one pick in the first three rounds of this year's draft: No. 62 overall in the second round.
Bishop's mock draft has Denver using that second-round choice to select hybrid Pitt linebacker/safety Kyle Louis. "Kyle Louis is closer to average size in a class of massive off-ball linebackers, but he is a tackle machine," Bishop wrote for Dynasty Nerds . "He racked over 179 tackles over the last 2 years.
" Louis (6-0, 220 pounds) ran a 40-yard dash in 4. 53 seconds and a 10-yard split in 1. 58 seconds at the NFL combine.
In addition to racking up tackles, Louis also totaled 10 sacks, six interceptions (one returned for a touchdown) and two forced fumbles in his final two college seasons with the Panthers. With Alex Singleton (33 in December) and Justin Strnad (30 in August) entering the later stages of their careers, the Broncos would be wise to begin planning ahead at linebacker. Following the Waddle trade , Denver holds seven picks in the 2026 NFL draft, which will be held in Pittsburgh from April 23-25.
