Coming off big back-to-back home wins against the Oklahoma City Thunder and Atlanta Hawks -- two of the hottest teams in basketball -- the Boston Celtics kick off a four-game road trip against another sizzling team, the Charlotte Hornets, on Sunday night.
Unfortunately for the Celtics, it looks like they may be pretty shorthanded based on the lengthy injury report they released on Saturday. According to the injury report, Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, Neemias Queta and Derrick White are all questionable. That's four-fifths of Boston's starting lineup.
Nikola Vucevic also remains out due to a fractured right ring finger. LENGTHY injury report for the Celtics tomorrow vs Hornets on the first night of a back-to-back Jayson Tatum (Achilles management), Jaylen Brown (left Achilles tendonitis), Neemias Queta (right thumb sprain), and Derrick White (right knee contusion) are all QUESTIONABLE… — Noa Dalzell 🏀 (@NoaDalzell) March 28, 2026 Brown missed Friday's win over the Hawks with left Achilles tendinitis and is in danger of missing Sunday's contest as well. Tatum has only missed one game since returning from his Achilles injury in early March and has played seven straight games with increasingly heavy minutes, so he's potentially due for a day off.
Queta and White both played on Friday but are questionable as well. Queta is dealing with a right thumb sprain and hasn't missed a game since March 2, so he could be due for a rest day as well. White, who has a right knee contusion, has missed only three games all season and is in a similar boat.
