VIDEO: MSU beat reporter, columnist analyze Spartans OT loss vs. Wisconsin
Graham Couch and Nathaniel Bott of the Lansing State Journal provide their postgame analysis following a gut wrenching Spartans OT loss to Badgers
It doesn't get much more gut wrenching than what we saw go down in Worcester for the Spartans on Saturday. Michigan State's season came to an end in overtime against Wisconsin in the NCAA Tournament on Saturday, stopping the Spartans short of reaching the Frozen Four yet again. The Spartans let a two-goal lead slip away in the final five minutes and ultimately lost early into overtime by the final score of 4-3.
The Spartans were a top seed in their region for a third straight year, but like the previous two seasons, they came up short of winning the region and making it to the Frozen Four. Michigan State appeared destined to reach its first Frozen Four in nearly 20 years, but it simply wasn't meant to be. After the game Graham Couch and Nathaniel Bott of the Lansing State Journal provided their thoughts on the "collapse" by the Spartans on Saturday.
