Travis Bazzana tripled before scoring on Juan Brito's sacrifice fly in the ninth inning to lift the Clippers to a 4-3 win at Iowa on March 28. The Clippers outhit the Cubs 12-6, with Brito, Bazzana and Petey Halpin each having two hits and an RBI. Halpin and Nolan Jones homered for Columbus.
Brito, who was 3 for 5 in the season opener March 27, is hitting . 556 through two games. The Cubs took a 3-0 lead in the first inning that included a two-run homer by Kevin Alcantara.
