Nik Erik Neubauer/ZUMA Press Wire/dpa Norway's Marius Lindvik crashed the Slovenian party when he denied Domen Prevc a record-equalling 15th season victory at the finale on the Planica flying hill on Sunday. Lindvik soared 238.
5 and 231 metres for first place as he beat Prevc by 5. 6 points. Prevc recorded 240.
5m and 229. 5m in the season-ender. Norway's Johann Andre Forfang was third with 232.
5m and 219. 5m. Prevc had already clinched the World Cup crown for the first time in his career a few weeks ago but missed matching his brother, Peter Prevc, for the season-win record as he remained one shy on 14.
In a standout season, Prevc also won two Olympic golds, the ski flying world and World Cup titles as well as the Four Hills Tour. It was a glorious campaign for the whole family as his sister, Nika Prevc, won a third straight women's World Cup title with a new points record and season win tally in the sport, plus the Two Nights Tour and a full set of Olympic medals. Sunday's competition was meanwhile the last for Polish great Kamil Stoch and Austrian veteran Manuel Fettner, who soared 190m and 230m respectively in their final jumps to finish 30th and ninth.
