Hincapie returns to Arsenal due to an injury Arsenal defender Piero Hincapie has left Ecuador’s training camp following medical tests and returned to North London . The Arsenal left-back/centre-half started Ecuador’s friendly draw with Morocco in preparation for the 2026 World Cup. He came off in the 73rd minute and has now picked up an injury, a massive blow for the Gunners.

Hincapie has been a key player for Arsenal this season since signing this summer , featuring 33 times scoring a goal and providing 2 assists. He took his time to get acclamatised to the side, but was beginning to fit in, when the injury setback came as a massive blow. The current international break has been devastating for Arsenal.

Gabriel Magalhaes, Declan Rice, Bukayo Saka, and Noni Madueke have all picked up issues. William Saliba, Eberechi Eze, and Martin Odegaard are all dealing with injuries of their own. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta will be dead worried.

The Gunners need all the help they can get for the Premier League title run-in and their Champions League campaign. They remain in the FA Cup too. With Hincapie potentially out, Arteta will hope Riccardo Calafiori can stay fit while youngster Myles Lewis-Skelly anticipates a chance to prove himself again.
