That included in a slightly different form of ABS challenge of a ball-strike call on Saturday night as the Seattle Mariners took on the Cleveland Guardians . Arozarena was already running down the first base line after taking a 3-2 pitch, clearly thinking he had earned a walk on ball four, only to notice it had been called a strike. After trotting a bit down the line, he turned back and tapped his head to challenge the pitch.

It's supposed to be almost immediate. It's designed to keep the game moving, and to prevent time for someone else to inform the player what he should do. Apparently a little jog down the first base line doesn't qualify, or this umpire was feeling lenient.
