Sal Stewart may not have hit the toughest pitch for a home run on Saturday. That likely belongs to the Cincinnati Reds ' Ohio rival, Guardians rookie Chase DeLauter . But yeah, Stewart also homered on Saturday, and it came on a pretty ridiculous pitch to hit the way he hit it, too.
He got a tailing fastball on the inside corner of the plate from Sonny Gray. Optically, it appeared to jam Stewart. But he launched a fly ball to centerfield, and this wasn't a jam shot.
Stewart hit the ball 108. 6 miles per hour, and it flew out of the ballpark. Talk about serious strength.
