Nebraska baseball (21-6, 7-1) battled Indiana (10-16, 3-8) for the second game in the series on Saturday afternoon. The Huskers took game two and the series in the process, toppling the Hoosiers 12-7. Indiana once again attempted a comeback, cutting Nebraska's 5-0 lead across the sixth and seventh innings.
But the Huskers shut down the Hoosiers in the bottom of the seventh, scoring seven runs to go up 12-4. Indiana added three runs in the eighth but could not erase the deficit. Nebraska tallied 12 hits and eight walks for 11 RBIs and left 12 runners on base.
The Hoosiers finished the day with seven hits and 13 walks for seven RBIs and left 13 runners on base. Dylan Carey led the team with five RBIs, despite finishing 1-for-3 at the plate. He delivered a three-run home run in the seventh and earned two walks, both resulting in a run.
Drew Grego batted 2-for-4 on the day, picking up two RBIs off a single in the seventh. Jeter Worthley finished 2-for-4 and started Nebraska's seventh-inning surge with an RBI single. Case Sanderson hit 2-for-3 and delivered an RBI single in the third.
