Trey Hendrickson's post-Bengals comments continue to be strange

Yahoo Sports

Bengals fans probably have a tough time with all the Trey Hendrickson quotes making the rounds right now.

From a Cincinnati Bengals perspective, watching Trey Hendrickson’s journey with the Baltimore Ravens so far has been odd. Hendrickson finally got the big-money deal he wanted, landed in Baltimore and had some odd comments , including describing himself as a “'win-now' window" player. In new interviews making the rounds, Hendrickson waxes poetic about serving as a mentor for the young guys in the Ravens locker room, too: Trey Hendrickson ahead of his 10th NFL season: "It's a fun time to give this knowledge that I've been given through so many great players to help mold guys like Mike Green into the best version of himself.

That's what excites me about being a veteran in this league. " via… pic. twitter.

It's been jarring overall on this topic, considering Hendrickson was seen working with someone like Shemar Stewart closely during training camp, too. Also odd is the Maxx Crosby thing.

The public perception around the nixed Crosby trade, only for Hendrickson to sign with the Ravens hours later, will probably never change. Hendrickson has maintained what many will perceive as the company line while talking about thinking he was going to team up with Crosby: Ravens' Trey Hendrickson says he expected to become teammates with Maxx Crosby in Baltimore https://t. co/vOnQFiahSz — Around The NFL (@AroundTheNFL) March 28, 2026 No matter how strange things seem to Bengals fans when it comes to Hendrickson these days, all that really matters is what unfolds on the field.
