Vote for Montgomery Advertiser's Girls Athlete of the Week for March 21-27 presented by the Vance Law Firm

It's time to vote for the Montgomery Advertiser's girls Athlete of the Week, presented by the Vance Law Firm for the week of March 21-27. Voting will open Sunday, March 29, and will be open until noon Thursday, April 2. The winner will be announced on Friday, April 3.

Nominees are based off of top performers that are sent in by high school coaches or statisticians. Coaches and team stat keepers can send in stats to sports@montgomeryadvertiser. com to nominate players.

Montgomery Advertiser's Girls Athlete of the Week nominees presented by Vance Law Firm for March 21-27 Saint James' Emily Needham pitched a perfect game against Montgomery Academy on March 25 that included six strikeouts. Needham claimed two wins in the circle during the week of March 23-27. Pike Road's Abby Olesen grabbed her seventh win of the season on March 26 with one strikeout and not allowing any earned runs.

Alabama Christian Academy's Laura Matthews had a 3-for-4 outing in a win on March 24. Saint James' Emily Darby went 4-for-4 with 6 RBIs in a win on March 25. Pike Road's Kennedy Cuthbert hit two home runs, a solo and a two-run home run in a win on March 26.
