A two-run homer from Luke Raley was unable to lead the Mariners to success in their first extra-inning game of 2026

SEATTLE — A two-run home run from right fielder Luke Raley in the bottom of the 10th inning was unable to push the Seattle Mariners to victory in its first extra-inning game of the season. The Mariners Ā (1-2) fell 6-5 to the Cleveland Guardians in Game 3 of a four-game series on Saturday at T-Mobile Park in Seattle. "Tough one tonight," Seattle manager Dan Wilson said in a postgame interview Saturday.

"A one-run loss is always tough. Extra innings makes it a little more difficult. Got to give it to our guys that came back there in the ninth inning and battled to get the tie and then make it exciting there in the bottom of the 10th.

... That's what this team is all about. We kept coming back tonight.

But just a little bit too late and a little bit short. " Luke Raley CRUSHED. #TridentsUp pic.
