Joe Pyfer stops Israel Adesanya in UFC Seattle main event
Former two-time middleweight champion Israel Adesanya retuned to the octagon for the first tine in 13 months on Saturday in the UFC Seattle main event. "The Last Stylebender" faced No. 14 ranked Joe Pyfer .
Adesanya entered the bout having lost his three previous fights. Pyfer made the walk to the octagon on a three-fight winning streak having won eight of his last nine bouts. Pyfer took the center of the cage.
Adesanya landdd first with an outside leg kick. Pyfer bounced on the outside before closing the distance and looking for a takedown. They worked for position along the cage.
Adesanya circled free but Pyfer landed an uppercut on the break. Pyfer connected with a combination. Adesanya pawed with his jab.
He continued to land leg kicks. Adesanya landed a right followed by a knee. Pyfer fired back with a right hand.
