Arizona State lacrosse game vs. Florida rescheduled 'due to bees'

The Sun Devils and Gators will instead face off on Sunday, after a swarm of bees stung several people during ASU's Big 12 opener.

A women’s lacrosse game between Arizona State and Florida was sent abuzz due to a swarm of bees on the field. The matchup in Tempe, which was set to kick off Big 12 lacrosse play, has instead been postponed by one day as a result of the hive. Several people were stung and were tended to by personnel from the Tempe Fire Department, via NBC 12 News .

The extent of the injuries is unclear. “Due to bees our game has been DELAYED,” the school wrote on social media, about an hour and a half after the game began. 🚨Due to bees our game has been DELAYED 🚨 Stay tuned for more information.

” The game will instead be played at 10 a. m. MT on Sunday, with ASU saying that tickets from Saturday’s game will be honored.
