•Yahoo Sports

Michael Chiesa's retirement fight at UFC Seattle was among the shortest of his career.

Michael Chiesa got his fairytale career end at UFC Fight Night 271 when he defeated Niko Price in his home state. Chiesa (22-7 MMA, 15-7 UFC) was dominant against Price (16-11 MMA, 8-11 UFC) in their featured welterweight bout on Saturday at Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle. He quickly took the back, locked in his signature rear-naked choke, and got the tap just 63 seconds into the opening round.

"The Ultimate Fighter 15" winner quickly jumped the fence and celebrated with his wife and family, and got emotional. "To me, retiring, in my home state of Washington, I love you guys so much you have no idea," Chiesa said in his post-fight interview with Daniel Cormier.

"I'm a kid that came from nothing. All I did was work hard, dream big and just bet on myself. There's a lot of people in the stands that support me.
