UFC Fight Night 271 video: Casey O'Neill batters Gabriella Fernandes
Levels of violence not typically seen in the women's flyweight division.
Casey O'Neill's actions spoke even louder than her post-fight roar, which is saying something. At UFC Fight Night 271 on Saturday, O'Neill (11-2 MMA, 6-2 UFC) pummeled Gabriella Fernandes for a finish with a level of violence not usually seen by the women's flyweight division. The stoppage came at 3:11 of Round 1 on the prelims Saturday at Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle.
The end began for Fernandes when O'Neill cracked her with a counter left hook. Fernandes went on the retreat, and O'Neill pursued. O'Neill connected with multiple stunning shots until a punch finally put Fernandes down, and the referee stepped in.

Though the bout was her second win a row, it was her first competition since August 2024. Getting to the cage has been perhaps her most difficult opponent, but even through inconsistent appearances, O'Neill continues to climb upward. In defeat, Fernandes has a three-fight winning streak snapped.
