FOXBOROUGH - The franchise’s first win continues to evade Boston Legacy FC. On Saturday, the club had a chance for a victory, hosting the previously winless Utah Royals, but the visitors walked away with a 2-1 win. Boston had five more shots than Utah and two more on target, but an early two-goal deficit proved too much.

Legacy not earning any favors with the officials Entering Saturday’s contest, the Legacy were one of the most penalized teams in the league. Boston collected six yellow cards, the most in the NWSL in its first two matches, and continued that trend against Utah. In the first half alone, Aïssata Traoré, Annie Karich, and Ella Stevens each received yellow cards.
