Wreath-laying ceremony at the Hillsborough Memorial Carsten Cramer, spokesperson for the BVB board, and legend Karl-Heinz Riedle visited the memorial before kick-off of the match, the proceeds of which will go towards social projects supported by the BVB Foundation “leuchte auf” and the Liverpool FC Foundation. Wreaths were laid in memory of the 97 men, women and children who lost their lives as a result of the Hillsborough disaster on 15 April 1989.
