Kristaps Porzingis leads Warriors past Wizards for third straight win

After losing eight of nine games, including three straight losses on the road, the Golden State Warriors appear to have righted the ship as the regular-season winds down. On Friday night, the Warriors notched their third straight victory with a 131-126 win over the Washington Wizards. Behind the trio of Kristaps Porzingis, Gui Santos and Brandin Podziemski, the Warriors secured a 131-126 back-and-forth win over the Wizards.
Golden State's offense surged out of the gate, outscoring the Wizards 38-25. Despite leading at halftime by 12 and scoring 72 points in the first half, the Warriors' offense quieted in the third quarter, opening the door for a comeback run from the Wizards. In the third quarter, the Wizards shot 53.
6% from the field and 54. 5% from deep to take a two-point lead going into the fourth quarter. In the fourth quarter, Gui Santos came to the rescue for the Warriors, scoring 13 points in the final frame to lift Golden State past Washington, 131-126.
After scoring a career-best 30 points against the Nets on Wednesday, Santos continued his strong play with 27 points on 8-of-12 shooting from the field to go along with four assists and four boards against the Wizards. Porzingis finished with a game-high 28 points on 9-of-17 shooting from the floor with five 3-pointers to go along with eight boards and three assists in 29 minutes. Podziemski stuffed the boxscore with a near triple-double performance, recording 22 points on 6-of-13 from the field with 10 boards and seven assists.
