Browns owners release new statement on the Brook Park dome project
Jimmy and Dee Haslam have increased their personal investment in the Browns' new stadium in Brook Park.
Say what you will about the way that Jimmy and Dee Haslam operate from the football side of the business. What no one can argue is that they put their money where their mouth is when it comes to constantly trying to improve basically all of the other elements of this franchise. The next project up for the Haslams and the Cleveland Browns is their brand new, state-of-the-art, completely enclosed stadium on the outskirts of Cleveland in Brook Park.
On Thursday, the Haslams announced that they are increasing the private investment in the project to $1. 755 billion dollars. The private investment in this build is 67.
5 percent of the entire project. The other 32. 5 percent will come from the state of Ohio and the city of Brook Park.
The thing to constantly remember is that this project is way more than just a football stadium project. This building is a total upgrade of Northeast Ohio that will give Ohioans the ability to host major national and potentially global events such as the Super Bowl. Huntington Bank Field's primary use will be the home for the Cleveland Browns every Sunday in the fall, but it will open the door for Final Fours, Olympic events, International Soccer events, major concerts, and other major events.
