He’ll then head over to the Monte Carlo Masters on Friday, 3rd April after training in Murcia.

With the tournament starting soon after, that should give him a couple of days to get used to playing conditions, with his first match expected on either 7th or 8th March. Alcaraz goes into this year’s event as defending champion, having claimed his first Monte Carlo title in 2025. He was also the first Spaniard to win there since Rafael Nadal did it for the 11th time back in 2018.

What Carlos Alcaraz has lined up for his clay court season Alcaraz is heading into a packed clay court stretch, with three Masters events coming up in quick succession. The Spaniard’s schedule starts with the Monte Carlo Masters, followed by the Madrid Open and then the Italian Open over the next month. He’ll also be playing the Barcelona Open in between, an event he’s made a regular stop on his calendar.
