Time to talk about the Brazilian’s absence

(Photo by Alex Caparros/Getty Images) | Getty Images The international break has brought some terrible news for Barcelona as forward Raphinha has been ruled out for the next five weeks with a hamstring injury picked up while playing for Brazil this week. Barça have lost Raphinha just as the Brazilian had rediscovered his best version, and the Catalans will have to face a brutal schedule in April without him.

That schedule includes several huge games in the La Liga title race as well as the Champions League quarter-final against Atlético Madrid, and Raphinha is also likely to miss both semi-final matches if Barça advance to Europe’s Final Four. Hansi Flick will have to figure out how to make up for the absence of one of his best players and leaders, and there are several options available: the easiest one is Marcus Rashford, but the likes of Fermín López, Dani Olmo, Ferran Torres and even João Cancelo will be in contention for a spot on the left wing while Raphinha is out. So today’s Barca Blaugranes Question of the Day is: How should Barcelona replace injured Raphinha for key games in the Champions League and La Liga?
