USC lands four-star 2028 receiver Roye Oliver III
The Trojans still have plenty of work to do with their 2027 recruiting class, but they are simultaneously already getting started on 2028
USC’s 2027 recruiting class is just starting to heat up . But the Trojans are simultaneously already getting a head start on 2028. On Friday, USC picked up a commitment from four-star wide receiver Roye Oliver III.
Oliver is the Trojans’ first commit in their 2028 recruiting class. Oliver comes to USC from Hamilton High School in Chandler, Arizona. Rivals’s industry ranking has him as the No.
29 overall player in his class. As a sophomore in 2025, he recorded 92 receptions for 1,839 yards and 31 touchdowns, earning high school All-American honors . Right now, USC’s primary focus is on the class of 2027.
But it is clear that Chad Bowden and Lincoln Riley have a long-term vision for the program beyond this year, too. The fact that the Trojans were proactive enough to go out and land one of the top players in the 2028 class nearly two full years early is certainly a very encouraging sign for USC fans.
