Israel Adesanya, the former two-time middleweight champion, is set to return after more than a year away at the second of four Fight Nights scheduled between UFC 326 and UFC 327. In Saturday’s main event at UFC Seattle, Adesanya will face Joe Pyfer.
The veteran is looking to snap a three-fight losing streak, while the rising contender aims to extend his winning run to four. And most fans think it’ll be ‘The Last Stylebender’ who gets his hand raised. Out of 348 fans who took part, 168 votes separated the former champion from the American prospect. Just over 74 per cent of fans expect Adesanya to break his three-fight losing streak, while just under 26 per cent are backing Pyfer to keep Adesanya’s struggles going—a result that many believe could signal the end of his career. The clear majority are predicting that ‘The Last Stylebender’ will get back in the win column for the first time since his knockout of Alex Pereira back in April 2023.
It’s been a rough run since then, with defeats to Nassourdine Imavov, Dricus du Plessis, and Sean Strickland. Now, he’ll be looking to turn things around against Pyfer. Who’s taking home the title at UFC 327, Jiri Prochazka or Carlos Ulberg?
