Bayern honour Asian Cup champion Tanikawa Newly crowned Asian Cup winner Momoko Tanikawa was honoured for her achievement by FC Bayern Women director Bianca Rech ahead of the team’s Bundesliga game at home to Nürnberg on Saturday. The Bayern midfielder was part of the Japan squad that beat hosts Australia 1-0 in Sydney in last week’s final to claim the country’s third continental title and Tanikawa’s first at international level. The 20-year-old scored two goals and provided two assists as she played in four of the six games at the tournament.
