Oklahoma State baseball alum Zach Ehrhard already living up to billing with OKC Comets
Former Oklahoma State star Zach Ehrhard drove in the OKC Comets' lone run as they opened their season against the Albuquerque Isotopes on Friday.
Oklahoma City Comets manager Scott Hennessey kept hearing about Zach Ehrhard . A 23-year-old outfielder out of Oklahoma State , Ehrhard is in his first year at the Triple-A level. In an organization filled with talent, Ehrhard is standing out.
“We got to spring training — everyone’s just loving the kid,” Hennessey said. “How hard he plays, how good of a teammate he is. He’s lived up to that.
” Ehrhard made his Comets debut Friday and showed why there’s much optimism surrounding him. The 5-foot-9, 190-pounder went 1 for 3 with one RBI and one walk while recording the only stolen base of the game as the Comets lost to the Albuquerque Isotopes 3-1 in their season opener Friday night at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.
