One of those is France international Dayot Upamecano, who was sent off in Les Bleus’ 2-1 win over Brazil.
As captured by X account @iMiaSanMia , France coach Didier Deschamps has allowed the 27-year-old defender to return to Munich early. Upamecano was due to miss France’s next friendly against Luis Díaz’s Colombia, who just beat Josip Stanisic’s Croatia 2-1 as well. This is a blessing in disguise for Bayern because it means Upamecano can get a bit of rest and be fit in time for the next gauntlet of games in the coming weeks.
With a huge tie with Real Madrid in the Champions League quarterfinals and Bayern dealing with a bit of an injury crisis, the Rekordmeister having its best center-back fully fit is a huge boost.
