Donald Trump Calls Tiger Woods a “Close Friend” After DUI Land Rover Rollover Incident in Florida
President Donald Trump has reacted to the DUI rollover incident involving Tiger Woods shortly after 2 p. m. local time on Friday, and called Woods his “close friend.
” The Martin County Sheriff’s Office released a mugshot of the golf star who was arrested in Florida. Martin County Sheriff John Budensiek revealed that a Land Rover being driven by Woods tried to overtake a truck at high speed, as reported by Sky News . However, it was clipped by a truck towing a pressure cleaner trailer, which caused his SUV to roll over and land on its side.
Budensiek said that the truck driver tried to give more space, but there was not enough room left. The officer confirmed that Woods displayed “signs of impairment” after the crash. A breathalyzer test was conducted, but the result was negative.
Woods refused to cooperate further with the police when asked to provide a urine sample. Three charges have been filed against him. Fortunately, no injuries were reported from this incident.
