What Dan Hurley said about Michigan State after Sweet Sixteen win
Here's what Dan Hurley and Alex Karaban said about Michigan State after UConn's Sweet Sixteen win
I think if you had told Michigan State basketball fans that the team would have made it all the way to the Sweet Sixteen this year in spite of having it considered to be a 'gap' year by many, they would have taken it. However, after a year that saw the Spartans rise as high as No. 8 in the country, watching them lose a close one to UConn by four points will certainly sting for a while.
To their credit, UConn played a great game, and the Huskies and head coach Dan Hurley have been incredibly respectful towards Michigan State in the days leading up to the game, and that continued after their win. Below, you can see what Hurley and star forward Alex Karaban had to say about the Spartans after the win: Alex Karaban: "We knew that they wouldn't give up, they are a tough team. " Dan Hurley: "The game was exactly what we expected, with the exception getting up 19.
That wasn't on my.. what do you guys call it? A bingo card?
Couldn't have more respect for Michigan State. Just to share the sidelines with Coach, it was an honor. " UConn HC Dan Hurley showed respect for Tom Izzo after sharing the sideline with the legendary coach following Friday night’s win.
