A little over a year ago she underwent surgery to repair a torn ACL. Friday night, she led the South to a thrilling win over the North.
LEXINGTON - Reese Bedingfield was determined to do whatever it took to get back on the court senior year. Suffering a torn ACL in late February 2025, she underwent surgery, rehab, and was cleared to play her final season in a Willard uniform helping the Flashes to a district runner-up finish. And Friday night at Lexington High School, she capped off her high school career as the 3rd News Journal Senior Showcase MVP with a game-high 15 points, seven rebounds, and three steals leading the North to a thrilling 69-64 win over the South.

"I really didn't get back in the flow until ... the tournament when I started to feel like myself again and play a lot better.
" She clearly carried that over into the Senior Showcase. "I'm really grateful to be able to be a part of this," Bedingfield said. "I got to play with Cam (Wiers), one of my teammates, and I think she shot really well tonight ...
I'm glad she got to end on the high note. And I'm glad we all got to end our high school careers on a high note because I know that's not the case for many of us. "But all the girls were great and it was really awesome to play with different girls you usually play against.
