The Martin County Sheriff’s Office confirmed via Facebook on Friday that Woods, 50, was involved in the crash that afternoon. The pro golfer was alone in the vehicle and not injured; however, he was charged with a DUI with property damage , Sheriff John M. Budensiek said during a press conference.

"Mr. Woods did not appear to be injured at all, and the other individual was not injured," Budensiek said, referencing the driver of a pickup truck that was also involved in the incident. He added that Woods was "lethargic on scene because of what he was intoxicated on.

Credit: Shabba / BACKGRID He also confirmed that Woods had been "alone in the car" at the time of the accident, and said he was "not sure" if he was wearing a seatbelt during the crash. Budensiek told reporters that Woods was placed under arrest after showing signs of "impairment.
