Shelby McKenzie gave them a 1-0 lead with a one-out single before Kennedy Harp scored Ruggiero with a sacrifice fly.
Marin Heller capped it off with a RBI double, putting FSU up 3-0. Clemson wasted no time responding, loading the bases with one out off of Jazzy Francik. Makenna Reid allowed one run on a sacrifice fly, but that was all.
