This was at least the third time the golf great has been involved in a car crash. In February 2021, his SUV ran off a coastal road in Los Angeles and the incident led to multiple leg and ankle injuries. In May 2017, Woods was arrested and charged with suspicion of a DUI near his home in Jupiter and was found to have taken multiple medications for what he said were to treat pain from one of his seven back surgeries.
