Tottenham Hotspur Defender Is Generating Interest From Spain: Should Spurs Let Him Go? In a recent report , Fichajes mentioned that Tottenham Hotspur defender Cristian Romero is generating interest from Spain. It has been revealed that Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are all showing interest in recruiting the Argentine centre-back from the North London club this summer.
Romero’s Inconsistent Form In North London Romero has struggled to be consistent with his performances at the heart of Tottenham’s backline in this campaign so far. Still, the Argentine talent deserves some credit for scoring six goals and earning four assists in 31 matches for Spurs this season across all competitions. The 27-year-old can still be one of the best centre-backs in the Premier League when he is playing with confidence on the field.
Thus, it is no surprise that so many top clubs from Spain are eager to get a deal done for him this off-season. His current contract at the North London club will run out in the summer of 2029. Therefore, Tottenham are under no immediate pressure to cash in on him in the summer transfer window.
