2026 NFL Draft scouting report: Zachariah Branch, WR, Georgia
Is Zachariah Branch a major sleeper in the 2026 NFL Draft?
Every year, there are always prospects that the national media is far too low on, resulting in a player going much lower than he should. This year, there is a wide receiver who is not getting nearly enough love as he should, and that player is Georgia's Zachariah Branch. Branch is not in many top fives; however, we are going to go over why he should be, and maybe higher than five.
Branch, a former five-star recruit out of Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas, Nevada, originally committed to USC, where he would make an impact as a true freshman, winning the nation's top return man award, and caught 31 passes. He would eventually transfer to Georgia for his Junior season, where he set career highs with 81 receptions for 811 yards and 6 touchdowns, earning All-SEC honors. Zachariah Branch is lightning in a bottle.
Branch possesses another gear that most prospects in the class lack. He is a YAC monster, thanks in large part to stellar vision in the open field, that blistering speed we spoke of, and an underrated ability to not go down on first contact. Slot guys need great hands, and Branch has just that, paired with the ability to show his hands late on go routes.
He will see the field in week one if not for his stellar ability in the return game. The biggest knock on Branch is that his routes run in College are limited to mostly jet motions, screens, and underneath throws. 49 of his 81 receptions this season came behind the line of scrimmage.
