Lady Vols basketball assistant coach Roman Tubner interviewed for the head coach opening at Kennesaw State, according to a report from USA TODAY.

Lady Vols basketball assistant coach Roman Tubner has interviewed for the head coach opening at Kennesaw State, according to a report from USA TODAY Sports on March 27. Tubner joined Tennessee coach Kim Caldwell's staff shortly after she was hired in April 2024 after spending three seasons as an assistant at Alabama. Tubner was an associate head coach in his final season with the Tide.

Tubner was one of two assistants Caldwell hired from other SEC staffs when she was hired by the Lady Vols, along with Gabe Lazo from Mississippi State. Before Alabama, Tubner made stops at Ball State (2021-22), UNC Wilmington (2019-20), Indiana State (2018-19), Austin Peay (2017-18), Arkansas Tech (2014-17) and Division II Arkansas-Monticello (2013-14). He started his coaching career as a graduate assistant for the Arkansas-Monticello men's basketball team before switching to women's basketball.
