2026 NFL Draft scouting report: Chris Brazzell II, WR, Tennessee
Tennessee's Chris Brazzell II is next on the docket to get his 2026 NFL Draft scouting report.
Are we looking at a clone of Dont'e Thornton in Chris Brazzell II? The comparisons are there, and some scouts are sharing similar opinions about both players, but that may not be fair. While both guys are lanky speed threats, Brazzell has much more to his game than meets the eye.
Let's talk about it. Brazzell, a former three-star recruit out of Midland Legacy High School in Midland, Texas, logged 12 touchdowns his senior year, putting him on the map. He would originally commit to Tulane, where a shoulder injury would cause him to redshirt.
He would explode the next season for 711 yards and five touchdowns, earning Freshman All-American honors, and would use that to propel himself to Tennessee. Last season, he would lead the SEC in yards (1,017) and yards per game (16. 4), while scoring nine touchdowns.
He would be a Biletnikoff Award semifinalist, First Team All-SEC, and Third Team All-American. Chris Brazzell II is a gazelle when running. Long strider with great speed to take the top off defenses, but also exceptional ball-tracking skills.
