2026 NFL draft edge prospect says he met with Rams twice
The Rams could be looking at adding another edge rusher in the 2026 draft.
The Los Angeles Rams might be looking at adding to their pass rushing group in the 2026 NFL draft. Wisconsin edge rusher Darryl Peterson told Sports Illustrated's Justin Melo that the Rams were one of the teams he's already met with ahead of April's draft, both in-person the day before his pro day and also virtually. Now, meeting with Peterson doesn't necessarily indicate the Rams will take him at some point in the draft, but there is seemingly interest from L.
A. in the edge rusher. The Rams have met with several other prospects as well.
Peterson capped off his five-year collegiate career with a career-high 6. 5 sacks and 11. 5 tackles for a loss in 2025.
He finished with 79 solo tackles, 24. 5 tackles for a loss, 14 sacks and seven defended passes in 53 games. He's a bit undersized at 6-foot-1, 247 pounds, but the Rams have taken smaller edge rushers as recently as 2025 when they drafted 6-foot-1 and 251-pound Josaiah Stewart in the third round.
