While Alex Marquez is set to replace Pedro Acosta at KTM, Vinales was expected to fill Binder’s spot. According to Motorsport. com, Vinales isn’t being considered as a main option for next season.

Now, it’s believed the talks have been ‘suspended’. There is still a path forward if Vinales can start showing form and challenge Acosta, who remains the standout performer within the brand.
But until then, nothing is set in stone. Recovering from a shoulder injury picked up last July, Vinales has openly admitted he rushed his return to action. It’s still not clear when he’ll be fully fit again, which adds another layer of difficulty for him to show what he’s truly capable of.
