CLEMSON ā Clemson basketball looks to be players in the transfer portal when it opens. The portal opens April 7, the day after the national championship, and closes April 21. The Tigers (24-11) made their third straight Men's NCAA Tournament in 2026 after undergoing the largest roster overhaul in coach Brad Brownell 's tenure.
However, Clemson was one-and-done in March Madness for the second straight season after No. 9 seed Iowa beat the Tigers . Clemson is losing five seniors to expiring eligibility: guards Dillon Hunter, Jestin Porter and Butta Johnson and forwards RJ Godfrey and Nick Davidson.
The Tigers will potentially lose more as surprises can happen in the transfer era. Clemson has 10 roster spots filled with five remaining on the Tigers' 2026-27 roster. Clemson only used 13 roster spots in 2025-26.
