Jersey numbers for all nine incoming Georgia football transfers. The Bulldogs have quite a few new faces this year

The Georgia Bulldogs brought in the nation's No. 32 transfer portal class with nine total commitments. Among teams ranked in the top-50 incoming transfer classes, only Notre Dame (seven) brought in fewer transfers.

Georgia's offseason emphasis was on roster retention as opposed to bringing in new transfers, but the Bulldogs will still have a lot of new faces after losing over 10 players to the 2026 NFL draft and 15 players to the NCAA transfer portal. As usual, Georgia emphasizes competition, so it will be interesting to see who emerges as top players this spring. "A lot of those guys that came in think they should have been playing more where they were, and they're going to have an opportunity to prove that here," Georgia coach Kirby Smart said.

"Some of the guys that left here probably felt they should have been playing more, and maybe we didn't. Then, the guys we signed certainly all believe they can play here, and time is going to tell whether they're ready to or not. " Georgia fans will soon find out just how ready Georgia players are.

The Bulldogs have their annual spring game, G-Day , on April 18. The Bulldogs along with the rest of college football won't have an opportunity to fortify their roster this spring as there is no spring transfer window. We still expect players to try to move teams this spring (likely via the legal system).
