Clemson's first loss in the 2026 NCAA transfer portal is a big one.

A year ago, the Clemson Tigers lost five players from its roster to the transfer portal after coach Brad Brownell's team finished 18-2 in ACC play and made the NCAA Tournament as a No. 5 seed. This year's team didn't accomplishment that many wins, but it did reach March Madness for the third season in a row.

And while the exact number of players from the 2025-26 group that will hit the transfer portal won't be known for a few weeks, Clemson already knows of one player who won't be back next season. Junior forward Jake Wahlin announced on social media Friday that he was entering the transfer portal. Wahlin, a 6-foot-10 big man who transferred to Clemson after two seasons with the Utah Utes, averaged 20.

5 minutes a night for the Tigers in 2025-26. He had 5. 3 points and four rebounds per game in 35 games, including 29 starts.
