College basketball's top shot-blocker to enter transfer portal

UC Irvine star Kyle Evans is set to enter the transfer portal, according to Travis Branham of 247Sports . Evans led the country with 3. 3 blocks per game, being named the Big West Defensive Player of the Year.

He also made the First-Team All-Big West after averaging 12. 1 points and 8. 7 rebounds per game.

He started all 35 games for them, shooting 62% from the floor and 78. 8% from the free-throw line. He helped lead them to a 23-12 record and a spot in the NIT.

He finished the year with 12 double-doubles, including the final two games of the season. He scored 20 or more points three times, including a career-high 24 points. He recorded at least one block in all 35 games, having a career-high eight against Hawaii.
