Spartan players preview UConn Sweet 16 matchup
Four of the Michigan State leaders took the podium to speak to the media about the UConn matchup.
Michigan State basketball is in Washington D. C. for the second weekend of the NCAA Tournament, where the Spartans will face off with the Connecticut Huskies in the Sweet 16.
Upon their arrival, the Spartans held their traditional open practice on Thursday, with a media session that ensued. For the Spartans portion of the media session, Tom Izzo sent Jeremy Fears, Jaxon Kohler, Coen Carr and Carson Cooper to the podium to speak to the media. These four Spartans are widely considered the leaders of the team, and make up four of the five starting spots in the MSU lineup.
The four Spartans spoke to the media about the game, what they believe they are going to have to do to get past UConn and how they can draw on past experiences for a game like this.
