Where FSU softball lands in Softball America's latest bracketology
The Florida State Seminoles softball program is off to a strong start, and they are projected to be the host of the Tallahassee Regionals.
No. 10 Florida State softball (29-4, 6-0 ACC) is traveling to its first ACC road test of the year against the Clemson Tigers (23-10, 6-3 ACC). FSU, as per usual, is atop the ACC standings and has not lost a game since Feb.
21. While it may only be March, it's never too early to think about bracketology in regards to who will advance to the Women's College World Series and their regionals. Perhaps unsurprisingly, Florida State is in a good position to do so.
As of right now, Softball America's latest predictions have the Seminoles earning the No. 10 national seed and hosting another Tallahassee Regional, hosting Ole Miss (SEC), Jacksonville State (Conference USA), and Providence (Big East). In the predictions released a few days ago, the SEC dominates with 14 bids, while the ACC follows with eight.
In their history, Florida State has advanced to the NCAA tournament 37 times and to the super regionals as well as the Women's College World Series round 12 times. Their last national championship was in 2018, alongside back-to-back years in 1981 and 1982.
